Como individuos, miembros de Rosicrucian Fellowship hemos estado experimentando una serie de pensamientos y sentimientos en torno al incidente terrorista del martes 11 de septiembre.

La Fraternidad, a pesar de su nombre , no tiene "una" sola opinión, "un" solo punto de vista debido a que no somos un "nosotros" sino una asociación de Cristianos en la que ninguno habla por el otro.

El que seamos Cristianos significa que Cristo nos sirve como modelo de nuestro pensar, sentir y actuar. Puede entenderse también que nosotros, como individuos , con diferencias de opinión y diferentes niveles de consentimiento, nos adherimos al punto de vista Rosacruz de la vida.

Creemos que los seres humanos somos seres espirituales, eternos "en" y finalmente "como" Dios y que por lo tanto somos infinitamente perfectibles y que nosotros tenemos, y debemos tener libre albedrio para llegar a esa perfección. Esto no es algo que simplemente pueda ser conferido.

Las Enseñanzas ,por lo tanto, contienen información en la cual podemos obtener luz con respecto al ataque del martes contra la humanidad. Podemos considerar dos observaciones basadas en estas Enseñanzas:

(1) Nada ocurre en la vida sin una causa y

(2) Existe, generalmente hablando , un ideal, o al menos un fundamento preferido , para responder a cualquier evento - en este caso, un acto de extrema agresión. La gente necesita auscultar profundamente en el alma para encontrar el "porque" de lo que acaba de suceder.

Yendo al meollo, se puede afirmar , que la motivación proviene de la ignorancia, de la frustración, y de la radical devaluación del valor del ser humano. Si la gente vive bajo la opresión, y sin oportunidades, pueden entonces ser síquicamente y mentalmente moldeados y manipulados para pensar y actuar de un modo tal que viola su naturaleza dada por Dios que por encima de todo es amor y respeto inestimable por el valor de cada persona.

Mientras las personas libres y sanas en todo el mundo están impactadas y lloran por los muertos y los vivos, nosotros tenemos trabajo que hacer , como individuos, como naciones y como miembros de una indivisible unidad global.

Los Estados Unidos necesitan mirar con largo alcance y con firmeza como se presentan ante el mundo , evaluando objetivamente y cambiando su relación con otros paises y personas de modo que pueda existir una mejor y más equitativa participación y probar que si profesa , cree y la ofrece a su propia gente. Necesita exportar y demostrar internacionalmente la convicción de que la vida , la libertad y la consecución de la felicidad son el derecho de todos los seres humanos. Necesitamos convertirnos en Internacionalmente Americanos , atentos a las necesidades de los pobres, de los oprimidos, de los sin educación sin importar donde vivan y brindarles y estimularles su propio llegar a ser y el derecho a la dignidad.

Con respecto a como las Enseñanzas Rosacruces podrían ayudarnos a responder a la crisis, Max Heindel aclara que nosotros, como Americanos, tenemos que ir más allá de nuestras fronteras territoriales y relacionarnos con toda la humanidad como hermanos y hermanas. Nuestro patriotismo, saludable en el sentido de que nos une, debería extenderse al mundo, sin excluir a nadie, porque ahora el mundo llora la muerte del inocente y el mundo teme por su seguridad y enfrenta un peligro común que no conoce de raza, de fronteras nacionales , ni religión, porque Dios no mata a sus hijos, sino que son ellos mismos quienes lo hacen.

Heindel es claro en torno al patriotismo, : si el mundo no es el pais del patriota , entonces se convierte en un parroquiano y parcializado en su lucha contra los mejores intereses. El sol brilla sobre toda la humanidad. Este planeta Tierra comparte la misma luna y esta adornada por la misma infinitud de estrellas. No existe un pais escogido, ni pueblo escogido: esa es una receta segura para causar la división , el separatismo y la guerra. Si cada uno puede buscar calmadamente en su corazón las causas y las respuestas para el reciente holocausto y todos los precedentes y los que han de venir, la respuesta será encontrada así como la solución a la amenaza fraticida. Se trata del amor, pero si el amor no esta revestido de actos inteligentes, de honda penetración , y de radicales auto- transformaciones , eso no es amor, y todas las letanias religiosas e invocaciones de amor no conseguirán nada si no somos sinceros en todos los frentes, con todas las personas, en todo momento.

Nosotros somos el mundo, todo es nuestro. Ningun ser humano esta fuera de la familia humana , porque hay un Dios y nosotros somos Sus hijos ,y lo que El no hizo no existe. Sobre esta premisa debemos actuar inteligentemente ,llenos de valor y de confianza. No hay otro camino.

The Fellowship, in spite of its name, does not have one opinion, or one point of view, because we are not a we but an association of Christians, and no one speaks for the other.

That having been said, because we are Christians means that the Being of Christ serves as the model for our thinking, feeling, and doing. That we subscribe, as individuals, with differences and agreements, to the Rosicrucian view of life may also be inferred.

We believe that humans are spirit beings, eternal in and ultimately as God, and are therefore infinitely perfectible, and that we have, and must have, free will to attain that perfection. It is not something that can simply be conferred.

The Teachings, then, contain information on which we can draw to shed light on Tuesday's attack against humanity. Two observations stemming from these Teachings may be advanced:

(1) Nothing occurs in life without sufficient cause, and

(2) there is, generally speaking, an ideal, or at least preferred basis, for responding to any event--in this case, an act of extreme aggression. People need to do deep soul-searching to get to the why of what has happened.

At heart, it is safe to say, the motivation stems from frustration, ignorance, and a radical devaluation of individual human worth. If people live under oppression and without opportunity, they can be psychically and mentally molded and manipulated to think and act in ways that violate their God-given nature--which is, above all, to love and honor the inestimable value of each person.

While free and sane persons around the world are in shock, and grieve for the dead and for the living, we have work to do, all of us, as individuals, as nation groups, and as members of an indivisible global unity.

The United States needs to look long and hard at its self-presentation in the world, objectively assess and change its relationship with other countries and peoples so that it may better and more equitably share and prove what it professes for believes in and gives to its own people. It needs to export and internationally demonstrate the conviction that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are the birthright of all humans. We need to become internationally American, looking to the needs of poor, oppressed, uneducated persons wherever they live and to provide for and encourage their whole self-becoming and their right to dignity.

With respect to how the Rosicrucian Teachings might help us to best respond to this crisis, Max Heindel makes clear that we, as Americans, must go beyond our territorial borders and relate to all of humanity as our brothers and sisters. Our patriotism, healthy in that it unites us , should extend to the world, should be global, should exclude no one, for now the world mourns the death of the innocent, and the world fears for its security and faces a common peril that knows no race, no national boundaries, and no religion, for God does not kill his children: they themselves do this.

Heindel is clear about patriotism: if the world is not the patriot's country, he is parochial and partial and fights against his best interests. The sun shines on all humanity. This planet Earth shares the same moon and is girded by the same infinitude of stars. There is no chosen country, no chosen people: that way is a sure recipe for division, separation, and war. If we each in quiet seek in our hearts causes and answers for this recent outrage, and all its predecessors, and all that are yet to come, the answer will be found, as will the solution to the threat of enduring fratricide. Yes it is love, but if love is not clothed in intelligent deeds, in difficult doing, in radical self-transformations, it is not love, and all the religious litanies and righteous invocations and avowals of love will avail nothing if we are not sincere and active on all fronts, with all people, at all times.

We are the world, all of us. No human is outside the human family, because there is one God and we are His children, and whom He did not make does not exist. On this premise we must intelligently and courageously and confidently act. There is no other way.

     Dear friends,
 

It surprises me that there is nothing at your website about the tragic events of New York and Washington (et al) last week. Since the attacks, the Internet has been flooded with messages warning about the end of the world, the advent of the antichrist in the shape of Bin Laden (he apparently left his previous embodyment, Saddam Hussein) and an imminent alien invasion. Even some "occult" organizations have been speculating about Nostradamus's predictions and the passages of the Apocalypse. So since the very day of the attacks, while I was trying to cope with the horror of watching those events live on TV, I've been coming to rosicrucianfellowship.org time and again hoping to find some sensible voice among the Internet hysterics. As a student of the Rosicrucian teachings, I understand it is all about Karma and the Law of Causation. But anyway I think that it would be reassuring for me --and for the people who visit the site from around the world-- to find some words on those tragic events.
