Terrorist Attack on USA/World Trade Center

11 September 2001.Tuesday morning about 8:45 AM (EDT) in New York City the first airplane hit the World Trade Center in NYC. This sad affair is an opportunity for testing our resolve to maintain loving attitudes and be part of the solution to a world filled with fear and suppressive reactions to other people and their needs.
Some astrological lessons should be also the fruit of study of this situation. The Chart of the time of the first crash (8:45 AM EDT) shows the 1st House ruled by the same planet as the 8th House. This planet is Venus, the planet of balance and peace. But imbalance leads to violent means to restore the imbalance. Taurus, ruled by Venus, on the 8th house cusp suggests financial inequalities may be at the root of the flustrations leading to this terrorist act. The target, World Trade Center, also suggests that financial disruption is part of intention of the attack. Venus is well supported in this chart.
Venus is elevated in Leo and sextile the Ascendant and Saturn.
Venus is trine to Pluto but opposed to Uranus.
Thus power and organization is well pictured by Venus' position and aspects. The Sun is connected with Venus position in Leo and the Sun is exactly on the 12th House cusp suggesting that the power behind the terror will be calculating (Virgo) and well hidden (12th H.). Venus opposition to Uranus suggests feelings charged with the need or desire for freedom even to revolution.
Interestingly enough, Uranus in
the attack chart is near the USA Natal Moon position, a key to the
consciousness
of the American People. Uranus is the focus of the energy which can be
described as 'awaken to brotherhood'. In the Progressed USA chart the progressed Sun is
at 26 degrees Aquarius, the same position as the Natal Moon of the USA chart,
if one uses 4:50PM for the birth time. (Many use 2:13 AM July 4, 1776)
This Progressed Sun conjuncting Natal Moon is also a wakeup (New Moon)
to new attitudes
and direction as regards how the USA helps others.
It is interesting to note that if one looks at Sunrise over New York City one sees that the planet Pluto was on the I.C. at about 79 degrees West longitude. Saturn was at the M.C. for 77 degrees West longitude. I believe the atmosphere of a place is especially charged with the vibrations prevailing at Sunrise, thus the similarity of the nature of the events and the sunrise vibrations focused on the East Coast of the USA.
